Meet Stephanie - Piano & Violin Teacher

Stephanie is a classically trained pianist and violinist starting at the age of four and has been teaching music since she was sixteen. From an early age, she also studied jazz improvisation and pop/rock styles, shaping her into a versatile and expressive musician. With a lifelong passion for music and education, she enjoys working with students of all ages and inspiring young musicians to develop a genuine love for music. She believes that every student learns differently and strives to create lessons that are engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each individual’s goals. Her teaching approach focuses on building strong musical foundations while keeping music fun, meaningful, and confidence-building.

A versatile and well-rounded musician, Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of California, Berkeley. She is well versed in music theory, orchestral music, classical piano and violin performance, jazz improvisation, composition, rock and pop styles, as well as music production and sound engineering. She spent four years performing in a rock band as a keyboardist, bassist, and backup vocalist, gaining extensive experience in live performance, collaboration, and contemporary music styles. Throughout her musical career, she has won several awards, performed at Carnegie Hall five times, toured Italy as a violin soloist with Seraphim Symphony, and participated in numerous regional and international competitions and orchestras. Drawing from her wide range of musical experiences, she encourages students to explore creativity, confidence, and self-expression while developing strong technique and musical independence.
