Meet Jake - Voice & Guitar Teacher
Hi, I’m Jake Pasion-Gonzales a dedicated guitar and voice instructor with a passion for helping students of all backgrounds and abilities find their voice through music.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music from San Jose State University, and while I was there I was heavily involved with choir and private voice lessons. Additionally, I have been playing guitar for over 11 years, and teaching guitar since 2020. My goal is to make music both approachable and rewarding, whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills.
In August of 2020, I began teaching at Fusion School of Music, where I guided students through three semesters of recitals. I create structured, engaging lesson plans tailored to each student’s goals, assigning practical exercises and offering consistent feedback to support steady progress.
In addition to private instruction, I worked as the sole music instructor at The Creative Center, a program for adults with developmental disabilities. My role there involves creating fully inclusive, accessible music lessons that build real-world skills in rhythm, melody, and collaboration.
Today, I work at the University of Washington as an Admissions Counselor, where I help students explore higher education. I am also a member of the Seattle Choral Company, and have been involved with choirs for over a decade. In my spare time, I love watching horror movies, videogames, and hanging out with my partner and our dog, a Malamute named Kili. My musical inspirations are Stevie Wonder, Rush, and Phoebe Bridgers.
I would be thrilled to be your guitar or voice teacher, and help you discover an instrument that has given me so much fun and joy in my life.
