Meet Denali - Percussion Teacher

Denali Williams is a versatile, in-demand percussionist & drumset artist based in Seattle. He has performed in many groups ranging from symphony orchestras to rhythm-sections.

He currently tours with legendary harmonica artist Lee Oskar as a member of Lee Oskar & Friends (recently playing performances at Joy of Jazz 2015 in Johannesburg, South Africa and in Seoul, South Korea at the 2017 Seoul International Harmonica Festival), acclaimed Zimbabwean songwriter Thomas Mapfumo (toured throughout the USA), and rock power-trio Cracker Factory (tours and records as a founding member).

Denali is a member of Symphony Tacoma and Federal Way Symphony as well as an "extra” performer for many groups including Northwest Sinfonietta, Bellingham Festival of Music Orchestra, Auburn Symphony, New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players, Video Games Live, and the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra. In these groups he has backed artists including Ray Charles, Chicago, Evelyn Glennie, Frederica von Stade, and Patti Labelle.
