Meet Kaitlin - Piano, Voice, and Guitar Teacher

Kaitlin Montero is a singer/songwriter based in Seattle, WA. She developed a passion for music and songwriting at a young age, and has been seeking to hone her artistry ever since. Having been influenced by alt-rock musicians such as Björk, Radiohead, and Fiona Apple, Kaitlin aims to give back to the world of music through her writing. She has released an album under her project Spyglass, and is currently in the process of producing a second record.

Having grown up in a diverse town in South Louisiana, Kaitlin was introduced to a wide variety of music genres, including jazz, zydeco, blues, and swamp pop. Living in such close proximity to New Orleans afforded her many opportunities to be immersed in the vibrant culture there, which is reflected in her music.

Kaitlin has been teaching private music lessons to children and adults for a decade, offering lessons in voice, piano, and guitar. She is excited to help her students discover their artistic style and voice (literally and metaphorically, for her non-vocal students). She believes in providing a fun and engaging learning environment, and seeks to get her students excited to learn and improve their craft.
