Meet Erica - Piano, Voice, & Flute Teacher

Erica is a classically trained vocalist, flautist, and pianist from California. She began piano lessons when she was 5, and then added flute lessons a few years later.
She began singing with the Sacramento Children’s Chorus at the age of 9, and sang with the group until she graduated from high school. While she was in SCC, she participated in many amazing opportunities including performing with the Sacramento Ballet and Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera, touring China and Europe and singing for former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. She also was also a part of the ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) High School Honor Choirs in 2014 and 2016.
She graduated from the University of Vermont in 2020 with a B.A. in Vocal Performance. While at UVM she tutored music theory classes and composed music that was programmed as part of UVM’s Festival of New Music.
Erica currently sings with the Seattle Symphony Chorale, the official chorus of the Seattle Symphony.


Erica has taught lessons for several years. She wants to help her students find joy in playing music, and will tailor lessons to each student’s goals. She believes in teaching skills that are applicable to all musicians, such as sight reading, music theory, and performing with others.
