Meet Sandy - Piano, Voice, Guitar, Classical Guitar, & Percussion Teacher

Music is a great love for me. I have enjoyed continuous learning in the music arena for over 20 years and have had many, many performance experiences in singing, guitar and piano.
I have been teaching music since 2007. I teach ages 5 to 95!

I have a degrees in music and humanities and have taught hundreds of students. I currently teach beginning to intermediate Piano, Guitar, Voice, Bass Guitar, Ukulele, and Drums.

When I was a music student, I remember being super nervous and that is why I am very patient and supportive with all my students. I wish to alleviate any anxieties!

I teach all the basics using course books and when a student is ready, I dive deeper into music theory and help them to play fun songs using sheet music, a chord chart or lead sheet. I encourage my students to have a goal and help them reach that goal, whether it is classical, pop, movie music, etc… you can do anything!

I strive to help develop an understanding of music fundamentals and build lifetime skills to enjoy the ability to play songs.

I can prepare students for recitals and exams. My greatest reward is when my students achieve their goals and find enjoyment in playing beautiful music.

I travel to students’ homes but also have a cozy music nook in my living room. Parents can relax comfortably while I am teaching their student.
