Meet Zoane - Drums & Marimba / Keyboard Percussion Teacher

Specializing in drum set and keyboard percussion, Zoane Chiu is an actively touring musician who has performed at internationally acclaimed venues including San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts and Blue Note Tokyo. When she is not on the road, she works as a percussion clinician with the Irvine Public School District, and leads a jazz trio featuring pianist Carlos Ordiano and bassist Charles Howald. Other notable collaborators include film composer Ego Plum, jazz vocalist Kaitea, and bassist Marlonius.

Chiu studied Percussion Performance at Northwestern University, was a finalist in Southern California Marimba's International Artist Competition in 2011, and previously toured with the Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps (2010, 2011) and Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps (2013).
