Meet Darian - Brass Teacher


Darian Freeman is a native of Elk Grove, CA currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. Darian started playing trombone at the age of 9 years old simply because he saw someone play the Star Wars theme song. At the time, all he wanted was to be able to play the theme song of Star Wars. He now holds a Bachelor’s degree in trombone performance from Northern Illinois University studying with Joseph Rodriguez and Jeremey Moeller, and a Master’s degree from Manhattan School of Music studying with Per Brevig. He also hold a Professional Studies Certificate from the Manhattan School of Music, as well. Darian has been teaching music privately and in group/class settings now for 8 years. He also was the recipient of the John Clark Award in his final year at Manhattan School of music and has also participated in the Alessi seminar as a fellow in 2015 and as a fellow at the Colorado College Music festival from 2015-2017. In his free time he enjoys watching baseball and basketball as well as staying fit and working out.
