Meet Constance - Violin Teacher

Constance Aguocha, a Houston native, is a violinist whose playing experience has spanned 11years. She is an energetic and involved teacher whose primary goal is to instil a love of music and to push her students, as well as herself, to constantly strive towards new levels in both performance and personhood.

Starting in 2015, Constance began her studies at Stephen F. Austin State University, where she went on to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance. During this time, Constance participated in the Orchestra of the Pines, studio sessions, chamber ensembles, opera orchestra, and also soloed with various other musical ensembles. In addition to her collegiate studies, she also began gigging around Texas and establishing her performance career. In 2018, Constance was a scholarship recipient at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, where she performed in chamber groups and the symphonic orchestra. In addition to her other duties at the festival, Constance also assisted with the younger residents. In 2019, Constance would attend the Montecito International Music Festival in Riverside, California as a scholarship recipient.

Upon moving to the DFW area in 2019, Constance began assisting with the Tarrant County College NW orchestra program and teaching for the Grapevine-Colleyville School District. In March of 2020, Constance was awarded a graduate admission to the University of Washington, where she will be beginning her Master’s degree in Violin Performance.

Outside of violin, Constance enjoys reading, knitting beanies, writing, and playing fetch with her two cats, Inky and Daisy
