Teacher Monthly Rates

**Note: the rate should be what the client will pay for the month.

Things to consider when setting the rate:

• You receive 65% commission from this rate.

• A 10% discount will be applied for hour-long lessons and two or more lessons for different students in the same house. The discount is 5% for online students.

• This is a flat rate whether you teach 4 or 5 lessons a month, and regardless of how many days of the week are in that particular month.

• The rate also remains the same even if your student cancels a lesson and does not reschedule or when the lesson falls on any of AWSOM’s designated holidays (see the list here).

PLEASE NOTE: We will calculate your 45 and 60 minute lesson rates based on your 30 minute rates - 45 minutes will default to halfway between 30 and non-discounted 60 minute lessons. 60 minutes will be twice your 30 minute rate minus the 10% discount. If you would like to discount them further, let us know.

Whether you are planning to teach in person, online, or both, you can set different rates for each below. One is required, but doing both is optional. We highly recommend lower rates for online lessons as travel time and gas money aren’t a factor, and families will often only opt for online if there’s a benefit in pricing.
