Meet Charlotte - Associate Voice & Piano Teacher
Charlotte is a New York City- based professional opera singer. She made her debut with MetroWest Opera earlier this year after graduating from The Boston Conservatory with a Professional Studies Certificate and Master of Music in Opera Performance. She spends her summers contracted to sing with companies across the world, and spends the rest of the year singing with orchestras, performing in opera productions, premiering new works, and performing recitals in DC, Boston, and NYC. In the 2017-2018 season, Charlotte performed with the Janeic Opera Company at Brevard Music Center, performed with Hillyer Festival Orchestra, and with Guerrilla Opera as the Captain of the Guard in their world premiere of Andy Vores' Chrononhotonthologos. During her time in Boston, Charlotte performed the role of Anna Reich in Nicolai's Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor with The Boston Conservatory, performed John Cage’s songbooks for Boston Sculptors Gallery, and performed multiple solo recitals in both Boston and DC. Charlotte has worked in masterclasses with Anthony Dean Griffey, Christine Goerke, Nathan Gunn, and Frederica von Stade. This spring, Charlotte will be performing a lecture-recital in DC connecting diplomacy and politics to the operatic canon for DACOR. When she isn’t performing, Charlotte is dancing, teaching voice, practicing yoga, and traveling. Charlotte is passionate about performance, informed singing technique, and body awareness to support both singing and living healthfully in one’s body. Charlotte has been teaching voice to all ages for 10 years in DC, Boston, and NYC.
