Meet Connor - Intern Guitar Teacher
Connor hails from Albuquerque, New Mexico – a hotbed of the classical guitar and the place where he discovered his passion for music. From a very young age, he found himself wildly drawn to the guitar and his high aspirations were realized by the wonderful teachers and opportunities he had while growing up. Inevitably it became such an integral part of his life that he decided to shape it into a career, which has led him to where he is now: studying Music Performance at the University of Washington under Michael Partington.
The passion, expression, and sheer energy that Connor infuses into his playing have given him unique showmanship and sound, which has opened many doors for him as a performer. He was recognized as one of the top 3 auditions in the state of New Mexico for the Allstate music festival and had the wonderful opportunity to open for the Grammy Award-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet during his junior year. Now that he has relocated to Seattle for his higher education, he has already taken advantage of many great opportunities here, winning third place at the Northwest Guitar Festival during his freshman year.
Connor looks forward to bringing a highly enthusiastic, welcoming, and creative progression of guitar lessons to his students. He is incredibly grateful for the inspiration that his teachers have given him; he owes his career and aspirations to the people who have made it possible. Now he wishes to do the same for others, so that they might enjoy the same opportunities that he has had in the world of music. The purest fundamental for creating a successful musician is to give them an instrument and a dream; the rest lies in the teaching!
