HOW TO GET STARTED LEARNING WITH A CHAMBER GROUP

AWSOM's chamber ensemble program is a great way for students to learn in a group atmosphere. Chamber ensembles are made of 2-8 students, and we accept both pre-made groups and students who wish to be placed into an assigned ensemble. Chamber ensembles will enjoy 60-minute rehearsals with an AWSOM teacher serving as the coach. Just like private lessons, each coach will be able to give individualized guidance that will allow students to reach their own goals with the benefit of learning with others.

What are the benefits of participating in a chamber ensemble?

Music is as much of a collaborative art as it is an individual one. Learning and growing as a musician in a small group setting allows for a more balanced approach than simply taking private lessons. The communication and cooperative skills honed in these rehearsals are clear benefits outside of music as well.

What is the cost of participating in a chamber ensemble?

For Duos (2 people), the weekly cost is $40 per student.

For Trios and larger (3+ people), the weekly cost is $33 per student.

Each member of the chamber ensemble will be billed separately.

Can I participate if I do not have a group already?

Absolutely! We are happy to create an ensemble with other students. We will do our best to make quality matches based on ability levels, location, availability, and personalities. This is a great way to meet other like-minded musicians, make new friends, and become more involved with the AWSOM community!
